So How Much Do Dog-Friendly Hotels Charge for Pets?

It depends.

For example the Tenaya Lodge at Yosemite National Park in California charges a $75 non-refundable deposit for pets. And only one pet is allowed per room at 55 pounds or less.

So neither of our dogs…Champ or Blaze…would be welcome because they weigh more than 55 pounds!

For a vacation home in the Disney area, there is a $300 refundable deposit and a flat rate of $30 per week for pets.

Wisconsin Dells, the indoor water park of the WORLD (only 2 hours drive for us), at the Delton Oaks Resort on the lake charges $15 a night. But you have to reserve early because it fills up quickly.

So there are dog-friendly hotels available - you just have to book early or call ahead.

After all, your dog is part of your family too…right?!
